Building Basics: Planning, Cutting and Assembling

  • Hands-On Halifax 6070 Almon Street Halifax, NS, B3K Canada (map)

This class takes you from a pile of scrap wood (provided, or bring some interesting pieces) to a finished product in a single session!

Using the same principles but varying dimensions, you can adapt this plan to build a stool, a side table, a bench, or a table. You will learn how to safely use the jigsaw, mitre saw, table saw, and drill to complete this project. Skills include measuring, layout, straight cuts, mitre cuts, pilot holes, drilling, squaring, and clamping.

This class is great for beginners who want to take an entire project from start to finish with some guidance on tool use and techniques. You do not need to be a member to attend this class.
